Art Process & Motivation
Hi everyone and welcome back to Timelapse Tuesday! This week’s illustration was product of several art attempts before I settled on this one. I go into more details in the video, but I went through at least 3 ideas, both in traditional and digital media, before I decided to break out my acrylic paints and give them a try after months of struggling with oil paints.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the buttery consistency and loooong open time of water-soluble oils, but setting up for a oil painting session takes quite a bit of prep work that I wasn’t planning on doing if I wanted to make my weekly deadline! I found myself enjoying acrylic paints for the first time in months, so I hope I’ll be doing more to balance out my content!
I’m still trying to figure out a good content management & schedule strategy so I can have more leeway for more experimental illustrations, Patreon and blogposts.

Art Process & Talk
Hi everyone and welcome back to Timelapse Tuesday! This week’s video is both for an Art Talk and celebrating 100 subs on YouTube! I wanted to make an illustration reminicent of the very first video I put up so I used my markers and color pencils!
This week’s Art Talk is about Small (Daily) victories. I go into a lot more detail in the video, but whenever I’m stuck or frustrated with my art practice, I do smaller tasks that are related to it to keep going. I go over a few of them on this illustration’s Patreon post as a sort glimpse into my studio practice on a weekly basis. They’re not elaborate or particularly special, but they help in some way and motivate me to tackle the bigger art tasks or get over the creative slump.
Quick reminder that $1 Patrons get to see fresh content before anyone else and $5 Patrons get access to lineart and a monthly digital drawing!
Materials
Markers: COPIC, Block Studio, ChartPak and Faber Castell PITT
I found some ACEO watercolor paper cards I’d prepared a while back! Click HERE or on the image for the full post and more on this Patreon reward!
I would like to think I’m getting better at promoting my work and shops, since they are my current livelihood! If you want to help out, feel free to share!
I’ll see you all soon for the Timelapse Tuesday episode and the Twitch Art Stream!

Art Process
Hi everyone and welcome back to Timelapse Tuesday! This is the first week with my brand new Patreon campaign so on the recording and editing side, this was a doozy of an episode! I wanted to try out the Fluid Watercolor Paper I picked up a few weeks back but commissions and preparing for the Patreon launch threw me off for a bit!
Today’s video was mainly for laying as many watercolor techniques as I could on the paper to test it out before making full illustrations to offer to patrons and the shop. I’m also trying out my new Winsor & Newton Cotman paints along with my studio palette for a complete piece. I tried them before on my Twitch Streams on mixed media paper so it was awesome to see them work on stronger paper!
I would recommend this paper to anyone who would want a smooth finish without breaking the bank!
Materials
MIR Paints Watercolor set
Winsor & Newton Cotman in Dioxazine Violet and Prussian blue
Hi everyone and welcome back to Timelapse Tuesday! Today was a really busy day in the studio because I wanted to get at least 2 out of 3 recording sessions done before tonight’s Art Stream! The first session took quite a bit but I’m glad I managed my time well enough that I got this video out just in the nick of time! I’m getting better at this!
To be quite honest, I wanted to play with my Pentel Brush and lay some colors on the lines it made, so I winged it for the sketch! I began with a pose and let the music and nature guide my inspiration into a bit of a watercolor concept drawing. I like the subtle color changes in the hair and skin, and the blooming in the ink shirt!
I’ll see you all soon for tonight’s stream!
