Hi everyone and welcome to this week’s Timelapse Tuesday! This week’s subject, Princess Zelda, was suggested by one of my Instagram followers! After looking at all her different designs, I decided on Breath of the Wild’s design since it looked the most fun to draw in my style.
I was planning to do this illustration digitally but it had been such a sunny day, it was perfect for a traditional painting timelapse. The piece presented a particular challenge since I was drawing on a flat desk. I usually keep my drafting desk at a 15° but I wanted to experiment on recording vertical formats. Unfortunately, my perception was distorted while I sketched so I had to compensate for a little bit. I also limited myself to using materials in my bag so I could practice with them more. I might do the “What’s in my bag” type post some day.

Hi everyone, I’ve just opened a profile on Artists & Clients to take commissions! To celebrate I’ve opened up these $10 Chibi Commissions! Help me spread the word and thank you all for your kindness & support! I can’t wait to get started!
This piece is also available on my Redbubble for lots of goodies!
I just finished this Sailor Moon fanart to get the gist of this quick commission dynamic and I thought “what the heck, I’ll make a nice gif animation to share my process, it won’t take long!” Famous last words…
I drew this on my sketchbook, photographed and sent it to Manga Studio 5 to increase the resolution & extract the lineart. After I extracted it, I colored the lineart and laid the flat colors, the shadows and highlights. I duplicated the lineart and applied a Gaussian Blur over it to add interest. I finished it with a Moon & stars motif to balance the right side from the left.
See you all tomorrow for Timelapse Tuesday!
Hi again! This week’s post features a timelapse video of a quick sketch I worked in Manga Studio 5 to test out some custom brush settings: mainly the density and opacity. I’ve been practicing my rendering in grayscale (since my comic is in tone) but it’s been a bit difficult translating that to color. I’m also trying out doing voiceover so let me know what you think! It’s been way too long since I edited audio files (I dare say 4 years!).
I drew this back when I’d just started playing Final Fantasy XV and I love how new-player friendly it is! I haven’t played FF since 9 and X-2 but I loved the original Kingdom Hearts I & II; the game plays like the latter series but better!
After considering it and taking suggestions from family and friends, I decided to open a RedBubble shop to host my artwork, digital and traditional! If you like my work and want to support it, consider dropping by! You can also check out my Storenvy if you’d like to buy the originals!
Thank you and have a great week!
